Dr
Jansie Jansen Van Rensburg’s special interest in
Esthetic Dentistry introduced him to the exciting new
field of fibre reinforced composites. He attended a
course in Turku in Finland in 2003. Dr.
Van Rensburg has already completed more than 700
successful clinical cases involving fibre reinforced
composite restorations, both in England and South
Africa. Dr Van
Rensburg lectured at International and National Dental
Congresses, Study Group Meetings and SADA (South African
Dental Association) Branch Meetings during 2004 and
2005. |
|
He has
published a number of articles including a peer reviewed
article published in the SADJ (South African Dental
Journal, February 2005), on Fibre Reinforced Composite
Restorations. The Hands-on training sessions and
lectures have proved most popular as reflected by the
feed back which has been extremely positive.
More than 500 dentists have already completed the
hands-on courses, in the different applications of fibre
reinforced composites in South Africa, and more than 50
in the UK.
Dr JJ Jansen van Rensburg (Jansie) and
Dr H. Visser (Klaas), have been nominated Best Dental
Trainers for the Year 2005 by
